Optoma kündigt neuen Laserprojektor an
Optoma stellt mit dem UHZ55 einen neuen Smart-UHD-Laserprojektor für alle Anforderungen im Bereich Heimkino, Homeoffice und Gaming vor. Mit 3.000 Lumen, einem Kontrastverhältnis von 2.500.000:1 und Optomas DuraCore-Laserlichtquelle liefert der UHZ55 scharfe Bilder auch bei Tageslicht. Er bietet die vierfache Standard-Bildwiederholfrequenz von 240 Hz bei 1080p und eine Reaktionszeit von 16,9 ms bei 4K mit 60 Hz für immersives 4K-Gaming auf den neusten Spielekonsolen.
Die Laserlichtquelle des UHZ55 wurde mit der DLP-Technologie von Texas Instruments und der DuraCore-Lasertechnologie von Optoma entwickelt. Sie ermöglicht eine wartungsfreie Betriebsdauer von bis zu 30.000 Stunden. Im Eco-Modus hält die Laserlichtquelle laut Hersteller bis zu sechsmal länger als ein vergleichbarer lampenbasierter Projektor. Eine gleichbleibende Helligkeit nach bis zu fünf Jahren ist ebenfalls herstellerseitig garantiert.
Der UHZ55 bietet HDR10- und HLG-Unterstützung sowie DCI-P3 WCG und die PureMotion-MEMC-Technologie zur Vermeidung von Bewegungsunschärfen. Die 4K-UHD-Technologie mit 8,3 Millionen Pixeln sorgt für eine lebensechte Videowiedergabe. Zudem kann der UHZ55 immersive 3D-Inhalte anzeigen.
Darüber hinaus verfügt der neue Projektor über Installationsfunktionen wie die vertikale Linsenverschiebung, Verzerrungsfunktionen sowie horizontale und vertikale Trapezkorrektur, die es dem Benutzer ermöglichen, das Gerät in jedem Raum oder an jeder Wand in seinem Zuhause aufzustellen. Der WiSA-HT-zertifizierte Projektor bietet kabellose Audioqualität und nahtlose Zusammenarbeit mit anderen WiSA-zertifizierten Produkten.
Mit der Creative-Cast-App können Benutzer Inhalte von Smartphone, Tablet oder Laptop direkt auf den UHZ55 spiegeln. Der Optoma Marketplace bietet Media-Streaming-Apps und Sprachbefehle über Alexa und Google für die vollständige Steuerung des Heimkino-Setups. Der UHZ55 unterstützt auch Google Home für die Steuerung per Sprachbefehl oder über die Google-Home-App.

EtherCAT-basierte Steuerungstechnik von Beckhoff ermöglicht effiziente Gebäudeautomation
Moderne Nichtwohngebäude stellen in vielerlei Hinsicht hohe Anforderungen an die Gebäudeautomation. Energieeffizienter und nachhaltiger Gebäudebetrieb, umfassendes Energiemanagement bis hin zur Ladeinfrastruktur für die Elektromobilität sowie neue gesetzliche Vorgaben zur Erfassung der Energie- und Verbrauchsdaten sind nur einige Beispiele dafür.
Umsetzen lässt sich dies mit der EtherCAT-basierten Steuerungstechnik von Beckhoff, die durch ultraschnelle Datenkommunikation eine effiziente zentrale Automatisierungsarchitektur ermöglichen soll. Zudem sind bedarfsgerecht unterschiedliche Netzwerktopologien realisierbar, in die auch alle etablierten Subbussysteme integriert werden können.
Der Gesetzgeber fordert inzwischen für Nichtwohngebäude eine Erfassung der Energie- und Verbrauchsdaten, was sich nur mit einer leistungsfähigen Kommunikationstechnik effizient und kostengünstig realisieren lässt. Die Wichtigkeit einer hohen Datenübertragungsrate bestätigt zudem die Richtlinie VDI 3814, Blatt 1 (Gebäudeautomation - Grundlagen). Sie weist darauf hin, dass die Reaktionszeiten von Gebäudeautomationssystemen erheblichen Einfluss auf deren Nutzbarkeit haben, denn eine uneingeschränkte Flexibilität einer Raumautomation setze eine schnelle Kommunikation zwischen allen Segmenten, Räumen und Bereichen voraus.
Die entsprechenden Anforderungen lassen sich mit der auf EtherCAT basierenden Philosophie der zentralen Automation umsetzen. Dahinter steckt eine zentralisierte, also je nach Bedarf auf eine oder mehrere Industrie-PCs verteilte Steuerungstechnik. Diese wird über dezentral verteilte I/Os und die schnelle EtherCAT-Kommunikation mit den notwendigen Daten versorgt.
Unterstützt wird diese zentrale Philosophie durch die Systemoffenheit der EtherCAT-basierten Lösung: EtherCAT bietet die technologische Basis, um alle Feldbussysteme der Gebäudeautomation zu integrieren und so den bei der konventionellen Datenübertragung häufig auftretenden „Flaschenhals Subsystem“ zu vermeiden. Nahtlos einbinden lassen sich über die entsprechenden EtherCAT-Klemmen und Busklemmen beispielsweise BACnet/IP, BACnet-MS/TP, DALI, DMX, EnOcean, KNX/EIB, Modbus, M-Bus, MP-Bus und SMI.

Marshall launches new auto-tracking camera
Marshall Electronics introduces its newest auto-tracking camera, the CV612-TBI/TWI PTZ camera. Available in black (CV612-TBI) and white models (CV612-TWI), the CV612 features the ability to automatically track, follow and frame presenters using AI facial learning for accurate and smooth self-adjusting maneuvers.
Equipped with 12x optical and a 15x digital zoom, the CV612 offers a 4.1 mm-49.2 mm (6.6-70.3 degrees) field of view. It is built around a professional-grade 2-Megapixel 1/2.8-inch HD CMOS sensor, which provides format resolutions from 1920 x 1080, 1280 x 720 down to 640 x 480, making this a solution for production and live streaming.
The CV612 has a flexible networkable IP interface with simultaneous 3GSDI, HDMI and USB 3.0 Type C outputs to connect with various applications. One Ethernet (CAT) cable installation with PoE+ simplifies setup and operation. Control interface includes RS232, Visca/Pelco protocols as well as LAN control. Also included is a handheld IR remote control. The PTZ features a pan rotation of 170 degrees, tilt rotation of -90-+90 degrees, and variable pan and tilt and preset speeds.

Alfalite introduces UHD Finepix LED panels with new Alfacob technology

Alfalite announces the market launch of the new Alfalite UHD Finepix Alfacob fixed installation LED panels with pixel pitch from 0.6 to 1.8 mm. These panels - manufactured at Alfalite’s facilities in Huelva, Spain - are a new mechanical and electronic design of their predecessors Alfalite UHD Finepix.
One of the main new features is that they are manufactured with Alfacob, an evolution of the brand’s Orim technology, for mounting on MicroLED or MIP (MiniLED in Package). The new Alfacob protection gives these modules a longer lifetime (more than 100,000 hours), a lower failure rate (PFR lower than 5 PPM/year), a horizontal and vertical viewing angle of 175 degrees, as well as higher contrast, colourimetry and image uniformity.
LED panels with Alfacob technology have superior anti-static electrical protection (ESD higher than 10 kV), improved thermal dissipation parameters, and resistance to impact (at least 10 Kg), liquids (at least IP65), chemicals and fire (UL94-0 compliance). In addition, they have anti-reflection properties and improved mechanical accuracy between modules (less than 0.5 mm).
The Alfalite UHD Finepix Alfacob solution is designed for markets and environments such as Control Rooms (crisis cabinets, emergency rooms), Broadcast, & VP XR (TV sets and film sets), Corporate (boardrooms and conference rooms, lobbies), Entertainment (museums, fairgrounds, congresses) and Digital Art (AlfaArt solution, luxury residential, large corporations) with a need for fine-pitch (microleds or stacking).
The new panels also offer a host of features that enhance picture quality, including 1,500 cd/m2 nits brightness, 7,680 Hz frame rate, 25,000:1 contrast and 16:9 aspect ratio. Other features include Smart TV - All in One Media Player, AI Voice Remote Control, One Click and Reach (X Mirror Control System) and touch screen.

Ableton Live 12 erhältlich
Ableton Live 12 ist ab sofort unter Ableton.com und im Fachhandel weltweit erhältlich. Wer Live 12 vorbestellt hat, kann die Software jetzt über den Ableton-Account herunterladen. Die wichtigsten Funktionen des Updates werden in Live-Lernen-Videos auf der neuen interaktiven Begleitseite des Herstellers gezeigt.
Neu in Live 12 sind unter anderem MIDI-Transformationen, mit denen Verzierungen und Artikulationen hinzugefügt, Beschleunigungs- und Verlangsamungskurven gezeichnet, aufeinanderfolgende Noten und Akkorde verbunden und Gitarrenschläge simuliert werden können. MIDI-Generatoren sollen dabei helfen, verspielte Ideen zu generieren, die die User dann weiterentwickeln und zu ihren eigenen machen können.
Zusätzliche Transformatoren und Generatoren in Max for Live geben noch ausgefeiltere Arten der Arbeit mit MIDI an die Hand. Bei Bedarf können User auch ihre eigenen Tools bauen. MIDI kann jetzt auf neue Arten mit Maus und Tastatur bearbeitet werden. Noten können in zwei oder mehrere Teile zerschnitten werden. Mehrere Noten knnen ausgewählt und verbunden werden - auch über einen gesetzten Zeitraum. Im Note-Utilities-Bereich stehen weitere Tools zur Verfügung, mit denen Noten zum Beispiel an eine Tonart angepasst oder humanisiert und Intervalle hinzugefügt werden können.
Ein weitere neues Feature in Live 12: Ideen können innerhalb einer ausgewählten Skala transformiert oder generiert werden, außerdem kann die Skala von MIDI-Anwendungen an den Clip, der gerade spielt, synchronisiert werden. User können zudem außerhalb der gleichstufigen Stimmung arbeiten und eigene Stimmungssysteme mit Lives Anwendungen und allen MPE-fähigen Plug-ins und Instrumenten nutzen.
Flexibleres Modulieren ist mit Live 12 ebenfalls möglich: User behalten die Kontrolle über ihre Parameter auch dann, wenn sie schon an eine Modulationsquelle gemappt wurden. Mit Max-for-Live-Anwendungen wie LFO, Shaper und Envelope Follower kann das modulierte Ziel frei bearbeitet werden. Mittels Bearbeiten-Menü oder per Rechtsklick auf die Titelzeile einer Spur im Kontext-Menü kann diese Spur jetzt in nur einem Schritt eingefroren und als Audio fixiert werden.
Weitere neue Features: Meld - ein zwölfstimmiger und MPE-fähiger Synthesizer, der mit FM-, subtraktiver und granularer Synthese arbeitet (die zwei Engines können unabhängig voneinander durch verschiedene Filtertypen geschickt werden) - und Roar, womit unter anderem subtile Wärme und unvorhersehbare Sound-Verzerrungen erzeugt werden können. Roar enthält drei Sättigungsgrade für serielle, parallele oder Mitt-/Seit-Konfigurationen. Der integrierte Prozessor und Feedback-Routing geben weitere Möglichkeiten, den Sound nach eigenen Vorstellungen zu gestalten, im Modulations-Bereich kann mit Dynamik, bewegter Sättigung und Farbe gespielt werden.
Der Granulator III, die neueste Version des granularen Instruments von Robert Henke, ist MPE-fähig und gibt Usern Kontrolle über expressive Parameter wie Note-Bend, Vibrato und Glissando. Audio kann jetzt auch in Echtzeit eingefangen und direkt manipuliert werden. Die vier Max-for-Live-Anwendungen des Performance Pack eröffnen neue Arten des Performens, die Lost & Sound Collections halten Sound-Fundstücke bereit, und mit den zwei Drum-Packs von Sound Oracle können Hip-Hop- und Trap-Beats gebaut werden.
Lives Clip- und Geräteansicht kann jetzt gestapelt werden, um auf einen Blick zu sehen, was in einer Spur passiert. Der Clip-Editor, die Automation, das Instrument oder der Effekt, mit denen gerade gearbeitet wird, können gleichzeitig angezeigt werden, um nicht mehr zwischen den Ansichten springen zu müssen. Die Oberfläche von Live 12 wurde ebenfalls optimiert. Zudem wurde der Mixer verbessert: Er kann in der Arrangement-Ansicht genutzt werden, um alle nötigen Informationen und die volle Kontrolle über die Musik zu erlangen, ohne in die Session-Ansicht umschalten zu müssen. Die einzelnen Mixer-Bereiche können nach eigenen Wünschen ein- oder ausgeblendet werden.
Wer spezielle Sounds sucht, kann ein Sample auswählen und Lives Browser vergleichbare Sounds und Instrumenten- oder Drum-Presets suchen lassen. Die Funktion basiert auf Machine-Learning-Algorithmen. Auch Swapping mit ähnlichen Samples ist über die Ähnliche-Sounds-Funktion möglich. Mit Lives neuem Browser-Tagging-System können neu entdeckte Sounds nun auch einfacher wiedergefunden werden. Alle mitgelieferten Soundinhalte, darunter auch Packs, sind jetzt im Browser mit Kategorien und Merkmalen versehen. Wer noch mehr Tags braucht, kann eigene erstellen.
Auch in Sachen Barrierefreiheit und Navigation bringt das Update Verbesserungen. So können User mit Seheinschränkungen die wichtigsten Workflows in Live jetzt auch mit Screenreadern und anderen Assistenztechnologien steuern und mit neuen Tastaturkürzeln durch fast jeden Teil von Live navigieren.

Lindell bringt Lintec Vintage Program Equalizer auf den Markt
Lindell Audio erweitert seine Produktpalette um den Lintec Vintage Program Equalizer. Der EQ nach klassischem Vorbild bietet analoges Feeling mit geringem Rauschen und straffem Low-End. Er soll Vocals mehr Raum und der Bassdrum sowie dem Bass mehr Fülle verleihen, stets mit einem Hauch von Vintage-Flair.
Der Lindell Audio Lintec Vintage Program Equalizer ist als Solid-State-Design konstruiert. Die Transienten werden exakt und prägnant wiedergegeben mit einem leicht weichen, cremigen und druckvollen Charakter. Zudem ist das Grundrauschen signifikant reduziert. Niedrige Fertigungstoleranzen ermöglichen die Nutzung von zwei beliebigen Lintec-Equalizern als Stereo-Setup - jedes Paar ist ein „matched pair“.
Auch bei flat eingestelltem EQ bleibt der Vintage-Effekt erhalten. Der Lintec Vintage Program Equalizer eignet sich zudem, um einen Low-End-Trick anzuwenden: Durch gleichzeitiges Anheben und Absenken tiefer Frequenzen wird eine Filterkurve produziert, die einen ganz besonderen Klang ausmacht.
Der Equalizer ist mit einer klassischen Bedienfront ausgestattet: Für tiefe und hohe Frequenzen stehen jeweils Boost und Cut zur Verfügung, um die jeweilige Frequenz anzuheben oder abzusenken. Für die Höhen lassen sich separate Frequenzen für Boost und Cut einstellen. Beide Höhenbänder teilen sich einen Bandwidth-Regler. Die gerasterten Potis ermöglichen die Stereoanpassung sowie die Wiederherstellung vorheriger Einstellungen. Für den A/B-Vergleich dient ein prominenter Bypass-Schalter. Ein großes VU-Meter erlaubt die Aussteuerung des Signals und kann auf der Rückseite eingestellt werden. Dort lässt sich auch der Output-Pegel justieren.
Der Lintec Vintage Program Equalizer wird in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz exklusiv von Audiowerk vertrieben und ist voraussichtlich ab Ende Mai 2024 verfügbar.

Epos stellt neues Headset für offene Arbeitsumgebungen vor
Epos bringt mit dem neuen Impact 800 ein kabelgebundenes On-Ear-USB-Headset auf den Markt, das entwickelt wurde, um die Konzentration von Nutzern in Großraumbüros oder am Heimarbeitsplatz zu verbessern und die Produktivität in offenen Arbeitsumgebungen zu steigern.
Obwohl es oft unbemerkt bleibt, kann das Gehirn bei der Verarbeitung digitaler Audiodaten in lauten Umgebungen erheblich belastet werden. Dies führt zu Ermüdung, Produktivitätsverlust und Konzentrationsschwäche. Das Impact 800 soll deshalb die natürliche Art und Weise, wie das Gehirn Klang verarbeitet, unterstützen.
Dafür nutzt das Headset Epos BrainAdapt, eine Gruppe von Technologien, um die Herausforderungen bei der Entgegennahme von Anrufen in einer geschäftigen Umgebung zu bewältigen. Dies soll das Hören und vor allem Verstehen der Inhalte vereinfachen und die Ermüdung des Gehirns verringern, indem es störende Geräusche reduziert. Das neue Headset soll es seinen Trägern ermöglichen, die Effizienz um laut Hersteller wissenschaftlich nachgewiesene vierzig Prozent zu steigern.
Das Impact 800 verfügt über atmungsaktive Polster und einen gepolsterten Bügel. Plug-and-Play-Konnektivität ist über das USB-C-Kabel gegeben. Den Klang nehmen drei Beamforming-Mikrofone mit mehr als 8.000 Parametern auf. Von Epos AI der 2. Generation angetriebene Algorithmen aktualisieren die Rauschunterdrückungsfilter jede vierte Millisekunde, um eine klare und natürliche Klangübertragung zu gewährleisten.
Super-Breitband-Audio und Stereo kommen ebenso zum Einsatz wie eine Spracherkennungs-Technologie, welche sicherstellen soll, dass die Stimme des Trägers auch in lauten Großraumbüros verständlich ist. Das Headset verwendet außerdem die ActiveGard-Technologie, um laute Sound-Spitzen zu verhindern und die Einhaltung von Lärmschutzbestimmungen am Arbeitsplatz zu unterstützen.
Nutzer können Anrufe einleiten, beenden und stummschalten, indem sie den Mikrofonbügel bewegen oder das Headset ein- und ausschalten. Mittels eines 360-Grad-Busylights werden Menschen in der Umgebung darüber informiert, wann Nutzer gerade telefonieren und wann sie nicht gestört werden möchten.

SLV aktualisiert Worklight-Portfolio
Der Leuchtenhersteller SLV hat seiner Produktfamilie Worklight ein Update verpasst. Das Ergebnis sind die neuen Leuchten Worklight Pro, die auf die aktualisierte DIN EN 12464-1 abgestimmt wurden. Die Stand-, Tisch- und Pendelleuchten für Bildschirmarbeitsplätze bieten eine blendfreie Lichtausbeute (UGR kleiner als 19) , eine Farbtemperatur von 4.000 Kelvin, Dimmbarkeit der Leuchten sowie eine hohe indirekte Lichtleistung.
Mit dem Touch-Dimmer können Nutzer die Leuchten an ihre persönlichen Lichtbedürfnisse anpassen, während der Tageslicht- und Bewegungssensor optimale Lichtverhältnisse und sparsamen Verbrauch sicherstellen soll. Der hohe indirekte Lichtanteil soll die Umgebung stimmungsvoll ausleuchten und für mehr Wohlbefinden am Arbeitsplatz sorgen. Mittels leistungsstarker LEDs bringen es die Worklight-Pro-Leuchten laut Hersteller auf eine Lebensdauer von 50.000 Stunden.

Audac veröffentlicht AteoxM-Lautsprecherserie
Mit der AteoxM-Serie veröffentlicht der belgische Hersteller Audac ein wetterfestes Update der Ateo-Lautsprecherserie. Das Einsatzspektrum von AteoxM reicht von modern gestalteten Wohnumgebungen bis hin zu kommerziellen Anwendungen, etwa in Einzelhandelsgeschäften, Bars, Restaurants oder Clubs.
Das Produkt-Update gestattet nun den Einsatz der Lautsprecher in Außenbereichen, aufgrund hoher Korrosionsbeständigkeit auch in marinen Umgebungen. Für Wetterfestigkeit mit Schutzklasse IP66 sorgt ein neues Aluminiumgitter mit dahinter liegendem hydrophobem Gewebe. Mittels des Gehäuses aus ABS-Kunststoff sind die AteoxM-Lautsprecher auch gegen Salzsprühnebel (720 Stunden Salzsprühnebel-Zertifizierung) und UV-Strahlung beständig.
Mit verschiedenen Funktionen wurde darüber hinaus die Montagefreundlichkeit der Lautsprecher optimiert, um Integratoren eine schnellere und komfortablere Installation zu ermöglichen. Die in jede Richtung schwenk- und neigbare Halterung mit wetterfester CleverMount+-Technologie lässt das Lautsprechergehäuse per Klick mit der Halterung verschmelzen.
Für die elektrische Installation besitzen die AteoxM-Design-Lautsprecher originale Wago-Klemmen, die ein Anschließen durch Installateure ohne zusätzliches Werkzeug ermöglichen. Für die Optimierung der Einstellungen nach der Installation verfügen die AteoxM-Lautsprecher über einen auf der Rückseite verborgenen Schalter zur Wahl des Leistungsabgriffs. Alle Lautsprecher der AteoxM-Serie sind in Schwarz oder Weiß erhältlich.

Sennheiser und Q-Sys für Collaboration-Geräte von Cisco zertifiziert
Sennheiser gibt bekannt, dass die kombinierte Lösung mit Q-Sys - eine über die Cloud verwaltbare Audio-, Video- und Steuerungs-Plattform (AV&C) - für die Verwendung der Collaboration-Geräte von Cisco zertifiziert wurde.
Diese Zertifizierung steht für die Integration von Ciscos Collaboration-Geräten mit Sennheisers Deckenmikrofon TeamConnect Ceiling 2 (TCC 2) und dem Q-Sys-Core-Nano-Prozessor. Die Cisco-Collaboration-Geräte dienen als Videokonferenzsysteme, deren Rechenleistung eine Vielzahl von Kollaborationsszenarien ermöglicht. Nutzer von Cisco-Konferenzlösungen in Meetingräumen, Hörsälen oder Kollaborationsbereichen können die Audio- und automatischen Beamforming-Funktionen des TCC 2 nun mit der Steuerung von Q-Sys und Sennheiser kombinieren.
Die zertifizierte Integration von Sennheiser und Q-Sys mit den Videobars, Room Kits und integrierten Videokonferenzsystemen von Cisco ermöglicht eine nahtlose Verschmelzung von physischen und digitalen Arbeitsbereichen, um eine skalierbare und flexible Zusammenarbeit zu fördern. Diese Lösungen können als Teil des Cisco-Collaboration-Devices-Partner-Ecosystems integriert werden.
Tascam announces new multifunctional mixing amplifier
Tascam has announced the MA-BT240 Multifunctional Mixing Amplifier. Part of the company’s Compact Commercial Series, the new MA-BT240 offers a feature set that includes the ability to switch between low and high amplification impedance, Bluetooth reception for content streaming, a microphone input for paging, ducking capability, and more, making it suitable for commercial spaces.
With its compact 1/2 rack form factor that enables it to be placed on a table, shelf, or rack mounted with the optional AK-RS05, the MA-BT240 delivers 240 watts high impedance amplification for powering 70 V or 100 V loudspeaker arrays in distributed audio systems. Further, the MA-BT240 may be chosen as a low impedance (120 W x 2 channels) amplification solution for driving loudspeakers that use 4- or 8-Ohm loads.
The MA-BT240 includes a switchable front panel Mic/Line input and a rear panel Mic/Line input that supports Paging. A Ducker function is available for the mic. Hence, for environments where background music is playing, the system automatically ducks the music (lowers the volume) when an announcement is made. Further, this amplifier has two additional RCA line inputs on the rear panel. With its integrated mixing function, the MA-BT240 enables to control the levels of the various sources feeding the amplifier.
The MA-BT240 has a built-in Bluetooth receiver to feed the amplifier with background music and other sources wirelessly. The Bluetooth antenna can be wired for extension and the pairing point can be changed to a preferred position.
On the output side, the MA-BT240 is outfitted with EQ and a High Pass filter. Further, the amplifier’s output supports Mono L+R/Stereo switching in Low Impedance mode. Providing greater control of the output sound, Master volume can be adjusted from external controllers. Work Pro launches new loudspeakers for outdoor use
Spanish manufacturer Equipson introduces Aulum, a new series of loudspeakers that are designed for outdoor applications such as gardens and terraces. Part of Equipson’s Work Pro brand, the Aulum Series includes two acoustic enclosures - AL 1003 F and AL 503 M. Both are cylindrical in shape and offer 360° horizontal and 120° vertical sound dispersion, with a frequency response of 90 Hz-18 KHz.
The AL 1003 F is designed for ground installation. Made from aluminum and with an IP65 protection rating, it can withstand rain and spray from garden hoses. Designed to offer omnidirectional coverage, the AL 1003 F has a 2.5’’ woofer and can work in low impedance installations with a power handling of 10 W @ 8 Ohm and high impedance setups where it offers 10 W to 70/100 V line installations.
For landscaped areas where a wall mounted enclosure is more suitable, the Aulum Series offers the AL 503 M, which also has an IP65 protection rating. This enclosure has a 2.5’’ woofer and can also work in both low and high impedance modes with the same 10 W power handing capabilities as the AL 1003 F. Both enclosures are equipped with warm white 6 W LED lights with a colour temperature of 3000 K, powered by 12 V/DC.

Engineer Steve Marcantonio finds portable reference solution with KRK GoAux
Since his start at New York’s Record Plant Studios, where he worked alongside artists such as Aerosmith, Kiss, and John Lennon, Grammy Award-winning engineer Steve Marcantonio has established himself as one of the most esteemed names in country music. Although he is no longer traveling extensively, Marcantonio still finds himself working on sessions outside of his studio space.
For these instances, the engineer has turned to his new KRK GoAux 4 Portable Monitor System as a reference solution. Being a longtime KRK user, Marcantonio currently deploys KRK V-Series V4 and V8 monitors and a S10.4 subwoofer in his studio, so the KRK GoAux was a natural progression for the producer.
“I can use GoAux to reference what my mix might sound like in different listening areas”, he says. “I can put them on the other side of the studio wall or in an area that’s not part of our usual listening surface and get an accurate representation of that space. The speakers are good at projecting my track in a way that is comparable to what the consumer will ultimately hear.”
Marcantonio most recently used this method for his recording work with Ronnie Dunn of the country duo Brooks and Dunn. “A lot of times when we’re in the middle of a session, the artist or producer wants to reference another track on their phone”, explains Marcantonio. “It has been a huge help that they are able to just use the Bluetooth connection on the GoAux to play back on actual speakers.”
Marcantonio also uses GoAux to assist his students at Blackbird Academy, an educational mentorship program from Nashville’s Blackbird Studios. Academy students are taught by esteemed audio professionals, gaining the hands-on experience needed to succeed in the music industry. As students often take sessions at MusicHouse, among other locations, Marcantonio notes that the portability of GoAux will provide an added benefit for these up-and-coming musicians, producers, and engineers.

OctoCue unveils new cloud-based event management app
OctoCue Ltd has launched the cloud-based event management app DeckTrack, enabling event professionals to monitor and manage conference presentations in real-time. Focusing on three key pillars, DeckTrack offers full visibility of presentations and enables monitoring anywhere with an internet connection. Its cloud-based monitoring functionality eliminates the need for expensive on-site networking.
Designed for event professionals handling large events, DeckTrack is available via three subscription plans which can be purchased directly from the website. “DeckTrack is now available for the market”, says Paul Williams, Director at OctoCue Ltd. “We want the app to help increase user confidence in executing professional events by enabling the events team to see on one central dashboard what is being presented across every show machine. Ingo Maurer bringt Hühnerei-Leuchte Reality auf den Markt
Der Münchener Leuchtenhersteller Ingo Maurer feierte im vergangenen Jahr sein Mailand-Comeback und präsentierte auf der Euroluce 2023 zahlreiche neue Entwürfe, darunter ein noch namenloses, schwebendes Hühnerei, das von innen heraus leuchtet. Mittlerweile trägt diese Leuchte einen Namen - Reality - und ist seit Februar 2024 auch im Handel erhältlich.
Der Entwurf des Designers Theo Möller, der bereits mehrfach mit dem Team von Ingo Maurer Leuchten und Installation realisiert hat, verkörpert eine Synthese aus Kunst, Natur und Licht. Das Herzstück der Leuchte ist ein echtes, bio-zertifiziertes Hühnerei. Die mit Kupferkabeln eingehängte LED bietet mit neun Lumen eine sanfte Beleuchtung.
„Die Leuchte Reality erzählt die Geschichte des Lichts auf eine neue Weise. Es ist eine Geschichte von Verletzlichkeit, Hoffnung und der Bedeutung des vermeintlich Unscheinbaren“, sagt Axel Schmid, Head of Product and Project Design. Als Inspiration diente das Gemälde „Pala Montefeltro“ von Piero della Francesca, in dem ein hängendes Ei über der Darstellung der Jungfrau Maria zu sehen ist.
Die Reality wird mit drei kleinen Nadeln geliefert, die es ermöglichen, die Leuchte von der Decke aufzuhängen. Die verwickelten Kupferkabel verbinden die Leuchte mit einem USB-Anschluss. Mit Kabellängen von drei bis fünf Metern lässt sich die Leuchte in unterschiedliche Raumkonzepte einfügen.
Das Leuchtmittel ist eine LED mit maximal 6 Volt Spannung, 0,3 Watt Leistung, E5,5-Fassung und einem USB-Anschluss Typ A 2.0. Die Abmessungen betragen 4,5 x 6 cm, das Gewicht 0,3 kg.

Astera launches ProjectionLens for PlutoFresnel
Astera boosts the creative potential and functionality of its battery powered PlutoFresnel LED luminaire with the launch of the new ProjectionLens which transforms it into a profile fixture. Astera Fresnels are designed for various lighting scenarios - from film and broadcast to a wide range of live events - and the ProjectionLens is expected to be especially popular for events.
The ProjectionLens offers precision optics, zoom, accurate shutters for highlighting specific areas, plus gobos. It can be installed by sliding in and out of the luminaire. The integrated manual zoom has a range of 16° to 36° for projection and is adjusted by twisting the lens barrel like a camera zoom lens.
Two focus wheels are included in the ProjectionLens to assist in producing gobo projection. One is for standard focus and the other enables a focus for close proximity surfaces. The E-Sized gobo holder means the projection of shapes, breakups and other effects and custom logos/gobos are seamless, with the projected beam or gobo image aligned and focused by rotating and tilting the lens barrel.
A four-leaf shutter design offers beam control by allowing the projected and lit areas to be trimmed as needed. This option enhances the adaptability of Astera’s wireless PlutoFresnel which was launched in June 2023. The PlutoFresnel has a 15° to 60° beam angle without any colour fringing and has both wired and wireless DMX control with up to three hours run time utilising the inbuilt battery.
Powered by Astera’s Titan LED engine, the fixture has an output comparable to a traditional 300 W Tungsten fresnel, with power consumption of less than 80 W. It weighs 4.5 kg and is designed for fitting into small and less accessible spaces on sets or stages. There are multiple rigging options; the fixture has a removable handle, foldable legs and YokeBases.

Studio Technologies releases upgraded announcer’s consoles versions
Studio Technologies has released its new Model 214A, 215A, and 216A announcer’s consoles. The three units are designed to serve as the audio control center for announcers, commentators, and production personnel. Model 214A, 215A, and 216A incorporate upgraded capability and performance while maintaining compatibility with the Model 214, 215 and 216 products.
The new units utilize the STcontroller software application. The VenueView real-time monitoring features of STcontroller are also supported. Model 214A, 215A, and 216A are suitable for numerous applications including on-air television sports broadcasting, stadium announcement, and corporate AV. All three consoles are compatible with broadcast and audio system environments that utilize Dante audio-over-Ethernet technology.
An Ethernet connection with Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) is required to make a Model 214A, 215A, or 216A part of a networked audio system. With the addition of a microphone and pair of headphones (or a broadcast headset) the installation is complete and ready for on-air audio, talkback audio, or the headphone cue feed. “Using the STcontroller software application, an enhanced range of configuration choices allow the desired operating parameters to be easily selected”, says Gordon Kapes, President of Studio Technologies. “While flexible to configure, the user is presented with a set of controls and indicators.”
The Model 214A’s two pushbutton switches, Model 215A’s three pushbutton switches, and Model 216A’s four pushbutton switches allow the user to control the main and talkback audio output channels. On all models, one pushbutton switch controls the status of the Dante main transmitter (output) channel. This is the audio channel intended for on-air, announcement, or other primary uses.
The Model 214A, 215A, and 216A’s pushbutton switches utilize gold-plated contacts and include backlighting using white LEDs. Three rotary controls allow the user to adjust the content and level of the 2-channel headphone output. Model 216A can also serve as a 4-channel IFB (interrupted foldback or talent cueing) main station for remote production (REMI) applications. That unit will integrate all on-air, talkback, and cue audio signal routing in one compact package.
Available free of charge from Studio Technologies, the STcontroller software application allows production personnel to configure the capabilities of Model 214A, 215A, and 216A to meet an application’s needs. STcontroller is offered in versions that are compatible with WinOS and MacOS operating systems.

Marshall cameras compatible with Quicklink Remote Studio solution
Marshall Electronics has announced that its CV730 30x UHD60 NDI PTZ camera is compatible with the Quicklink Remote Studio and ST250 multi-camera remote studio solution, allowing for complete remote control of the camera and other elements of a studio from a single web-based user interface. Quicklink Remote Studio controls camera pan/tilt/zoom/pedestals with automatic tally for standby, preview and live on-air, in addition to its suite of production solution controls.
“Collaborating with other manufacturers provides further value for our customers in terms of interoperability with proven industry solutions”, says Bernie Keach at Marshall Electronics. Richard Rees, CEO of Quicklink, adds: “We are continually looking to expand our list of approved devices for the ST250. We worked closely with Marshall throughout the testing phase to ensure a smooth operation of the cameras with the ST250, and the integration is seamless.”
The Marshall CV730-BHN (black) and CV730-WHN (white) feature 9.2 million-pixel Sony sensors with a 30x optical zoom range and simultaneous 12GSDI and HDMI outputs along with networkable full-NDI, NDI HX3, NDI HX2, IP (HEVC), SRT and other common IP codecs. The UHD (4K) images up to 3840 x 2160p at 60 fps offer a flexible professional camera source to any production.
The Quicklink Remote Studio and ST250 incorporates remote control of all the elements of the studio including multiple cameras, camera tally, camera pedestal, lighting, audio, confidence monitor, teleprompter, engineering talkback/IFB, backdrop monitor/display, chroma keying and more. Output independent camera feeds allow for efficient bandwidth optimization with incorporated graphics, overlays or tiling of cameras. It can remotely control over 400 devices, directly from a web interface or control panels utilizing Quicklink Bridge technology.

Contrik releases Power Strip Multicore boxes and new Power Multicore cable assemblies
Contrik, a Neutrik Group power distribution specialist brand, has launched new Power Multicore solutions. The new range of Power Strip Multicore “stringer boxes” comprises six models with Harting E16 connectors, providing for six channel single phase breakout, or breakout and daisy chaining, on Neutrik PowerCon True1 Top or Schuko Type F connectors.
Models are designated as offering either “X” (Xtreme protection) or “XO” (Xtreme Outdoor protection). X providing high mechanical (IK) protection and XO high mechanical (IK) and high environmental protection, allowing for the connection of loads in both indoor and outdoor application environments. Contrik’s proprietary Easylen housing ensures the high IK mechanical protection (up to IK 10+) with high levels of flame retardancy, temperature resistance, UV protection, corrosion insensitivity and non-conductivity.
PowerCon True1 Top models with X or XO designations are respectively rated as IP20 and IP65 environmentally protected. Two Schuko Type F models are designated XO with IP54 rated protection with Harting E16 connectors in mated condition. Both PowerCon True1 Top and Schuko Type F connectors include self-closing sealing caps.
Contrik’s expanded CKPE series Power Multicore cable assemblies now offer six and eight channel Harting E16, and six channel Socapex SL 419 compatible connectivity, together with a Socapex SL 419 compatible to 6x PowerCon True1 single-phase Power Multicore Split cable. These offer high IP protection ratings in mated condition: IP65 in the case of Harting E16 connectors and IP68 in for LKS 19 connector.
The cables are DIN 15765 standard-compliant for mobile event production. Improved levels of reliability, resulting from an increased PE-conductor cross-section, extend to operation at very low temperatures, with cables operable across a range of -5 °C to +70°C. Featuring Titanex rubber cable, they are available in various standard lengths from five to forty meters.

New outdoor protected data connectors from Neutrik available
The EtherCon Top cable connectors are “true outdoor protected” RJ45 carriers for 1 Gbit/s/100 W PoE Ethernet and network connections (RJ45 not included). The D-shape panel mount connectors, offering a teardrop design, are designed to withstand the harshest environment.
These cable connectors are robust, RoHS/Reach compliant, flame retardant, UV and corrosion resistant, and provide IP65 protection against particulate and moisture ingression. The IP65 rating signifies that EtherCon Top connectors are dust-tight and protected against low pressure water jets.

Bosch releases Dicentis Hybrid Meetings
Bosch introduces Dicentis Hybrid Meetings, a solution that combines in-person and remote conference attendance. Since general online video conferencing applications often don’t meet the needs of structured hybrid meetings - due to insufficient onsite system integration and lacking professional features like microphone management and compliant voting - Bosch has developed its own hybrid solution to create a flexible meeting environment.
Dicentis Hybrid Meetings combines the stationary, IP-based Dicentis conference system with remote participation into a fully native hybrid meeting solution. As a cloud-hosted single supplier solution with hybrid participation at the core of the conference system, it caters to all security, reliability and usability requirements.
Dicentis Hybrid Meetings creates a meeting experience for onsite participants using Dicentis conference devices and remotely connected participants who can attend via a browser-based Dicentis application on PCs, laptops or tablets. The user interface for remote participation features an overview of all activities. Every participant enjoys equal participation options established by the integrated meeting management tools.
Regardless of physical location, each participant is fully involved and enjoys the same speech priorities, voting rights and content sharing options. Last-minute information can be immediately distributed comprising the voting results and hall visuals, even when connected remotely.
The feature set is designed for all legally compliant meetings, centrally controlled over one user interface for the chairperson and meeting manager. They can control hybrid meetings the same way as in-person gatherings, including speaker timers, request list, response mode, voting with quorum, majority and voting weight with automated reporting in a tamper-proof format.
Data are processed with full data privacy-compliance, in accordance with international information security and privacy management standards as well as the General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR). Data encryption using standardized IP technology and security features ensure protection against data tampering and hacking.
The participant access is gate-protected as user profiles are managed by the local Dicentis server. Shared information remains confidential while no personal data are stored in the cloud. Both the cloud application and the stationary conference system are stable which is safeguarded by the Bosch quality guidelines.
Dicentis Hybrid Meetings is a service solution that includes all required fees, regular software updates, specialized support and Bosch-managed cloud hosting for constant availability and reliability. It is initially available in select European countries and will gradually expand into other countries and regions starting from the first quarter of 2024.

Blaze Audio announces PowerZone Connect 8-channel power amplifiers
Blaze Audio has announced the new PowerZone Connect 8-channel power amplifiers. Consisting of four models - the PowerZone Connect 508, 1008, 4008, and 6008 - these new amplifiers are powered by Pascal Umac Class-D technology.
Available in 1RU (PowerZone Connect 508/1008) and 2RU (PowerZone Connect 4008/6008) form factors, these new 8-channel amplifiers can power both conventional low-impedance (508 and 1008: 4 Ohm to 16 Ohm/4008 and 6008: 2 Ohm to 16 Ohm) loudspeakers and constant voltage (70 V/100 V) transformer-coupled loudspeakers. Further, they feature automatic power-sharing technology for proportional distribution in both Lo-Z and Hi-Z modes.
All models also incorporate Blaze Audio’s DSP web app controller, PowerZone Control, for system setup. The PowerZone Connect 8-channel amplifiers range from total power of 500 W to 6000 W, with the PowerZone Connect 4008 and 6008 exceeding 3000 W - making these two amplifiers the first Blaze Audio models to reach this power rating.
All four PowerZone Connect 8-channel amplifier models are suited for a wide range of installations. The amplifiers offer eight balanced Euroblock inputs and eight unbalanced RCA Phono inputs. They also include S/PDIF digital audio I/O with routing that can be configured via the PowerZone Control web app, a configurable GPIO (General Purpose I/O), along with eight configurable loudspeaker outputs that utilize Euroblock connectors.
Like all other models in Blaze Audio’s PowerZone Connect amplifier family, the four new 8-channel amplifiers include support for Blaze Audio’s PowerZone Control web app. PowerZone Control facilitates customization of audio/voice systems and provides adept management of multiple DSP configurations. This includes multi-zone setup, input mixing, priority and ducking, input and output EQ, S/PDIF output routing, high-pass filter, loudspeaker management and presets, delay, and more.

Synsona family from Bosch Building Technologies launches new power amplifier model
PRM-2P600, the latest addition to the amplifier line-up for fixed installations from Bosch Building Technologies, follows last year’s introduction of the PRM-4P600 multi-channel power amplifier which marked the debut of Synsona, a new product family designed to deliver sound and control for background music and announcements.
The two-channel model PRM-2P600 features a 600-watt output capacity in a compact format. Suited for a wide range of applications, it provides a powerful system drive for any small to medium-sized installation scenario. This makes it apt for a variety of applications including supermarkets, retail stores, educational institutions and hospitality areas.
Integrators can combine various PRM models to align precisely with the specific project requirements. At just a single rack unit high and half a rack width wide, the PRM-2P600 offers versatility, power efficiency and stable performance by incorporating Bosch amplifier technologies. Designed as a convection-cooled power amplifier, it operates silently. The included brackets facilitate single or dual rack-mounting, as well as unobtrusive installation in tighter spaces, such as under counters. When rack-mounted side by side, two amplifiers fit in a single rack unit.
The PRM-2P600 combines the same features and Bosch technologies found as its four-channel sibling model. The PowerTank technology provides automatic power allocation, acting as a power reservoir. With direct access to the total power of 600 watts, the PRM-2P600 can deliver asymmetric power across all channels as needed. Both amplifier channels to be flexibly driven at 4 ohms, 8 ohms, 70 V or 100 V without affecting the output power.
Overall power consumption can be significantly reduced with EcoRail, both protecting the environment and lowering ownership costs. APD (Auto Power Down) further improves energy consumption by automatically powering down the amplifier when no audio signal is present. The DualCool technology ensures uninterrupted operation with a built-in multi-stage fan that is activated under extreme thermal conditions. PFC (Power Factor Correction) maintains reliable performance, even under demanding conditions.

Electro-Voice announces global launch of Everse 12
The launch of Everse 8 in late 2022 saw Electro-Voice (EV) set a benchmark for battery-powered portable speakers by bringing pro-audio performance into play. Now EV introduces Everse 12, a larger and louder 12’’ two-way option, offering the same wireless-friendly features that made its 8’’ counterpart a success.
Everse 12 offers a maximum SPL rating of 126 dB (compared to the Everse 8’s 121 dB), a low-frequency response reaching down to 45 Hz, and 100° x 60° coverage. A custom-designed Li-ion battery pack provides power for 12+ hours at an average SPL of 100 dB with typical program material or 6+ hours at the maximum output level before limit indication, surpassing the Everse 8’s equivalent performance at 95 dB.
Protection circuitry reduces the risk of the battery discharging to such a low voltage that it can no longer be recharged - for example, after long periods in storage. Tool-free screws facilitate effortless removal of the battery pack. Everse 12 features a weatherized design, a high-output titanium-diaphragm compression driver, true wireless stereo streaming and app control/mixing.
The woofer and compression driver are coupled to a patented SST (Signal Synchronized Transducers) ported waveguide, enhancing low-frequency extension and delivering even vertical and horizontal coverage across all frequencies. The components are “Powered by Dynacord”, driven by a 400 W Class-D amplifier and DSP module developed in collaboration with the audio electronics engineering team at EV’s sibling brand Dynacord. Pro features include a built-in four-channel digital mixer with studio-quality effects and processing, mode/location/subwoofer presets, 48 V phantom power, feedback suppression and audio ducking.
Wireless control and monitoring are streamlined with the EV QuickSmart Mobile app, enabling users to adjust all audio, effects and mix functions via phone or tablet. The app allows pairing and grouping of up to six Bluetooth-equipped Electro-Voice portable loudspeakers, in any combination. Everse 12 supports Bluetooth true wireless stereo streaming for stereo setups.
Local configuration can be completed in seconds using the single-knob encoder with LCD. An integrated 12 V DC port draws power from the Everse 12 battery, making it suitable for wireless microphone systems such as the Electro-Voice RE3 or R300. A USB-C charging port for mobile devices is provided for a power top-up during streaming. Two XLR/TRS combo jacks, a 3.5 mm stereo jack and a TRS footswitch input add further connectivity.
Every detail of Everse 12 is crafted for easy lifting and transportation. An ergonomically designed soft-touch handle and advanced lightweight construction simplify moving and mounting the Everse 12, whether it’s onto a tripod for an extended throw, set long-side-down as a stage wedge with a 55° monitor angle, or placed upright with a 25° kick-back angle to project upwards off the performance area. Built-in feet with no-skid rubber pads also ensure the system stays put.
In combination with the rugged polypropylene enclosure, utilizing the included weatherized input cover allows Everse 12 to achieve an IP43 rating (water-resistant for splashes and light rain) when running on battery power during Bluetooth streaming. An optional rain cover is available for additional weather resistance. An optional duffel bag is also available.
