Concept K chooses Chauvet for African Super Cup
The light and video show for the TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup 2023 was produced by Leap Creative studio, with Frédéric “Aldo” Fayard and his team at Paris-based Concept K that supported the event with pre- and post-game panoramas, as well as the halftime show at the King Fahd Stadium in Ta’if, Saudi Arabia.
The founder and art director of Concept K, Frédéric Fayard, along with his team of Theo Broche and Mohamed Almaraihah, served up a series of colorful looks. From the moment the teams entered the field flanked by special atmospheric effects as intense light filled the stadium, to the dynamic musical performances at halftime, to the moment the winners received their championship trophy as pyro effect circled the stadium, the Concept K production design aimed to underscore the specialness of the football event.
A key contributor to the Concept K design was the collection of 98 Chauvet Professional Color Strike M motorized strobes that were positioned throughout the venue. “We used them as effects, but also as a base for colors and energy on the music”, says Fayard.
